New
Beginnings!
Hi
all...it is good to finally be back! Welcome to my new website!
As you may have noticed the format of the site has changed
a bit. I wanted to do something a little different...not only
show my paintings, but to share a little info about why and
how I painted them. So, I decided to design my site to be
more of a painting journal.
Also,
I have been experimenting with new subjects and media. As
you can see from the first two paintings below, I have been
painting wildlife scenes. I have been wanting to try wildlife
art for a while now, and finally decided, now is the time.
Besides working on canvas, I have also been experimenting
with the digital canvas, and have been doing some digital
paintings...I will probably add some of these to the site
in the near future.
I
am excited about my new work and about the future, and I am
looking forward creating art for a long time to come!
New
Paintings!
Below,
are my most recent paintings, and each is a little different.

Cardinals
5x7 Diptych, Oil
I
was recently inspired by a mating pair of Cardinals, that
nested in a Rhododendron outside my window.

Deer
in the Woods
14x11, Oil
This
is my attempt at a new subject. Having been a landscape painter
for years, I have decided to take that to the next level.
I have always loved nature and being outdoors, and I love
animals...so, I have decided to put the two together and to
do wildlife art. This painting is actually my second attempt,
and I am currently working on three more...I will post these
sometime in the near future.

Country
Church
11x14, Oil
This
scene does not exist anywhere, and is totally made up from
my imagination. My goal, was to create something from nothing,
but to try to make it look real. I think I accomplished that
and I am happy with the results.

Caumsett
Five
11x14, Oil
Caumsett
State Park is one of my favorite places to go on Long Island.
There is a dirt trail that leads to the north shore of the
park, and on that trail stands these trees. I have been painting
these particular trees for a number of years now...I seem
to be attracted to them for some reason.
